Non Toxic Safe Vegan Baby & Kids Rooms

Non Toxic Safe Vegan Baby & Kids Rooms. We want our babies, from newborns on up, to be happy, healthy and strong right? The last thing we would want is to surround our children with is chemicals and toxins. Infants should be surrounded by love, safety and good energy.  Most of us understand that we need to make healthy, sustainable choices for our family. But also for the future of our children. Climate change is real folks.

A cruelty free nursery is one of those choices to make since it will affect your baby from now until they’re fully grown. A humane home ensures that your baby is in a space that is designed with materials that are less toxic, healthier and safer for you and your children. Less chemicals in furniture and decor are also gentler on the senses, the skin and a baby’s delicate, fragile body.  Overall, a vegan nursery is an ideal, healthy environment.  for your baby to develop mentally and physically. Here’s how to create a safe, non toxic nursery for your infant.

Do Your Research

A product may appear clean and cruelty free at first glance but beeswax or animal products may be used in the finishing process. In most cases, the only way to ensure that a product is actually safe is to make an enquiry with the manufacturer. Furthermore, don’t be misled. Just because a material is vegan, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is healthy. Low-quality man-made materials such as cheap leathers are made from synthetic materials that contain toxic chemicals. It’s important to research all the materials that you plan to use in your baby’s nursery. There are plenty of non-toxic materials that are safe for indoor use, you just need to look for them.

Look for Non Toxic Alternatives

It’s hard to imagine a nursery without a leather rocker, woolen blankets or down pillows.  But the good news is that you don’t have to.  There are plenty of safe alternatives. There are many substitutions you can make in your baby’s vegan nursery:

Interview: Safe Healthy Home Fabrics

Safe Healthy Home Fabrics. We all want to be happy, healthy & strong. We do our best to eat the right foods and exercise. But many of us are completely in the dark about how our environment can make us sick. Cancer, infertility, neurological issues are just a few of the illnesses that continual contact with chemicals can cause. It’s incredibly frightening to know that we, unknowingly are buying furniture, sheets and fabrics for our homes and work areas that are harming ourselves, our babies and our families. Watch this interview with leading textile expert Patty Grossman. She and I covered how to choose Safe Healthy Home Fabrics. We also cover many other important topics; CLICK ON VIDEO BELOW TO WATCH A SNEAK PEAK.

Closet Design And Storage

5 DIY Closet Design Hacks

Closet Design And Storage. No matter how small or large a closet is, it can never be organized or store enough stuff! Closets are, in my opinion, one of the most important hidden gems in a home. A cluttered closet is a cluttered mind. Yes, I believe that. So here are my tips to a beautiful, happy, organized closet design and storage. Of course, my hacks are non toxic, vegan and free from tragedy.

Tip for an Amazing Closet Design and Storage: Paint Your Closet with Non Toxic Paint Only

  • Why I love it: Most paints contain strong dangerous chemicals that can make you and your family very sick. These chemicals go into the air. It’s called “off gassing.” Your skin is porous and these highly toxic chemicals seep into your bloodstream through your clothing within seconds!
  • Advice for Pulling it off: Learn about which paints are low VOC, meaning have low volatile organic compounds. Translation; safer painter for you and your family.
  • Color tip; If the closet has no windows or is in a dark area, use a light color or you will have a hard time seeing your clothes.
  • Fave products I’d like to call out: Here’s two of my favorite brands, Montage  and Renaissance

Health – COVID 19 & Our Dogs & Cats

Health – Covid 19 and our pets.  I had the pleasure of speaking with Veterinarian Dr. Samantha Saunders about COVID 19. Dr. Saunders is PETA’S  Corona Virus Researcher and she also has her doctorate in Corona Virology.  I learned about the theory of how the COVID – 19 pandemics began. It seems to be linked to wet markets, bats and Pangolins. We spoke about whether or not our pets, including cats, dogs and companion animals can transfer the virus to us or to them. Watch the interview. It’s filled with great information.

The Truth About Greenwashing

The Truth About Greenwashing. Greenwashing is a term that is being loosely thrown around by companies to give consumers the impression that they are environmentally friendly, when in fact, they are not.It seems that almost all companies (95%) that claim to be eco friendly are greenwashing in some form or another. They are tricking the consumer by “empowering” them with the wrong information. For example, a company may claim its product to be chromium free. When in fact, chromium wasn’t a needed ingredient for the products manufacturing.
